Preventing Matting in Autumn & Winter

Rain and mud are the enemy ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ. Although, who is kind of pleased it has cooled down ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

To prevent matting as we go into winter, especially on curly coats follow these tips..

โœ” don't rub dry with a towel, squeeze/pat the coat dry. Rubbing causes friction, friction = matting.

โœ” thoroughly brush through, using a slicker brush and a comb to check for knots.

โŒ don't try to use the comb to remove knots, it pulls and hurts ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

โœ” conditioning spray will help knots to slide out.

โœ” double check common matting areas such as legs, feet, around the collar/harness area and tail area. ๐Ÿ’ก struggling to maintain your dog's coat? Ask about a shorter, easier maintenance cut.
